I was depressed. Suicidal. For the final four months of that relationship I was in hiding with my lover as he attempted to leave Canada. With the police on his trail, we hid out in a B&B in Maple Ridge, B.C. and then, on May 21, 2003, at 9:14 am, a miracle drove up in a blue and white police car and I got the miracle of my life -- I was set free.
